NH Downloadable Books

How to Use NH Downloadable Books

NHDB is a service for electronic books, audiobooks, magazines and videos, provided by the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) via our New Hampshire State Library.

You need four things for it to work for you:

an internet connection
a device (smartphone, tablet, computer)
the Libby app for your device
your library card number

When you click on the link below, you will go to the NHDB portal. The first time you sign in, you will create an account. First, choose your library. They are arranged alphabetically by town: library name, so you will look for Francestown: George H. Bixby Memorial Library.

Then you will be asked for your library card number. It’s on your card or keytag, but if you can’t read it or don’t have it handy, email the library at francestownlibrary@gmail.com and we’ll give it to you. It’s a 14-digit number; the first 10 digits for everyone are 2490700000xxxx, if that helps you decipher it. If you know someone who would like to use this service who doesn't have a library card, have them email us, and we will create an account.

Thank you Tumblebooks for providing these resources to library patrons!
