During this period of “stay at home” with no school, library or activities many of us will begin to wonder where to turn for a helping hand.

ConVal School District is able to provide a bagged breadkfast and lunch Monday through Friday for families in the District for each child in the household between the ages of 0-18.  Breakfast and lunch items are generally those that would be eaten by school age children.  While food allergies can be considered we are unable to meet demands for dietary preferences.  Meals are delivered by bus and are free of charge.  For more information, click on the link above.

  • Do you need a ride to a doctor's appointment or a vaccination center?
Reach out to the Community Volunteer Transportation Company who can provide a free ride provided by volunteers of our regional community.   877-428-2882
 
  • Food Resources
Should you be food insecure, our neighbors, Lori Hardwick-Way and Representative Jim Bosman, are putting together a community food drive.  If you need assistance or wish to donate to the food drive click HERE for more information.
 
  • Medication and Food Pickup
We have many wonderful neighbors that will offer their assistance for picking up essentials for those that shouldn’t venture forth at this stage of the pandemic.  Please reach out to Lori Hardwick-Way (544-7265) or Cher Barker (547-6866) to make arrangements.
 
  • Connect by Phone
In Francestown we don’t want anyone to feel isolated, so if you would like to participate in an outreach program (incoming or outgoing), please call Marsha Dixon (831-5094).
 
  • Dog Walking
A group of neighbors are offering to walk dogs for those persons that may not want to make the trek outside.  To make arrangements please call Marsha Dixon (831-5094) or by email.
 
Francestown Friends can help with financial assistance for the short term due to illness, job loss, and other life-changing situations.  Examples include, however are not limited to the following: help with the cost of a vehicle inspection or registration, utility payments, a gas card to get to medical appointments, a debit card to help with necessities not covered by SNAP(EBT) and Food Stamps.  Private message us on Facebook, or contact Karen St. Cyr (547-3300) or text (620-5066).

The Food Pantry is operating with “drive-thru” service for pickup of pre-packaged bags of food.  Pick-up is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00am – Noon.  Customers should wait in their car in the driveway in front of the Pantry Entrance at the Peterborough Community Center, and a car-hop will greet them and deliver their bag right to the car.
