Public Safety Message: Burglary Notice

On December 5, 2017 at 1:00pm the Francestown Police Department responded to the Russell Station Road area for a report of a residential burglary that had occurred. Upon arrival the homeowner advised that while away for a short period of time in the morning and returning home a burglary had occurred at the residence. The investigation indicates that the residence was entered by unknown suspect(s) between 10:00 am and 1:00pm that afternoon. Forced entry was made through the front door which facing Russell Station Road. Upon gaining entrance the unknown suspect(s) went through various personal effects of the homeowners. The investigation indicated through evidence collected at the scene that a vehicle was used to enter the driveway and to leave after committing the crime. Further investigation indicates that some items were removed from the residence however for investigative purposes they will not be disclosed. The Francestown Police Department is asking that any citizen that may have been in the Russell Station Road area during the above time period that may have observed any suspicious activity such as people walking; vehicles that seemed out of place however insignificant in may seem, you are asked to contact us at 603- 547-6850 or 603-547-2043. We can keep your name confidential at your request. Any assistance is appreciated. Also, citizens should be vigilant in observing any suspicious activity all the time but especially during these holiday seasons. Criminals have a tendency to become more active during this time of year. One other note: do not leave anything of value in your vehicle unattended such as valuables and Holiday presents. Criminals are targeting these situations.
