Transfers

Plate Transfers can only be done from same name to same name. When transferring plates, you must present the original vehicle registration form.

Lost Plates/Decals

You can come in to the office and fill out an application for lost plates/decals or get the form from the state online. We will issue you new decals or plates. Download the Application for Replacement Plates and/or Decals here.

Vanity Plates

Vanity plates may only be obtained when you purchase a new vehicle or at renewal time. If you wish to see what is available, please visit the motor vehicle website for a Plate Check. Vanity plates cost an additional $40 per year. You must also fill out an Application for Vanity Plates and bring it with you when you come in to register your vehicle. Read more about Vanity Plates on the NH DMV website.

Conservation plates cost an additional $30.00 per year, which is donated to a conservation fund and is tax deductible. You can visit the following website to learn more about the NH Moose Plate Program.

Boat Registrations

At this time we do not register boats here. We only register the trailers. You must then go to a surrounding town that registers boats (New Boston) or to the state.

Change of Address

Residents must notify the Department of Motor Vehicles of their new address within ten (10) days of a change. Forms are available at the Town Clerk’s office or online with the state: Record Change Request.

Lost Your Title

Just fill out the Application for Duplicate Certificate of Title and mail to the state along with a check. The application form tells you how much and where to mail to.
