  • Polly is honored for years of service (her last meeting as Trustee). Thanks to Polly!

  • Motion: Ethel Mac Stubbs moves Polly seconds motion to exit the non-public session at 10:10 a.m. Motion passes unanimously.
Old business:
  • Ethel reports on progress in proposal to replace shed in Cemetery No. 3, funding for which is on Warrant in March election.
    • Ethel worked Saturday measuring current building and has draft of drawing of proposed building. Need decision on width (south to north walls). Sixteen feet was suggested. No final decision.
    • Ethel contacted Jamie to explore idea of Trustees trying to get volunteers to demolish- with volunteers to sign releases drafted by town. Hopefully can save old beams for reuse for sale to someone (or gift if no offers). Suggested we ask Larry K. for ideas on beam re-use.
    • We know bids will be required ( 2 bids). Ethel reports a “pre fab” option is available. Ethel says Amish company “Carriage Shed” in White River Junction, Vermont has shed -they have clapboards option and it comes painted and roofed. Cost based on size, but they floated a $6,000 minimum but we will need some extras. Cost does not include foundation which could be crushed stone with sono (sp) tubes.
    • Slate door inside shed will need to be moved (and donated or sold). May need equipment rental to do that. Or funeral home (Kauffolds?)
  • Shed discussion continues. Town Warrant in March election has article for funding for shed. We should be prepared to show pictures of bad condition of structure. Bridget will talk to Jamie about screen. If pics can’t be put on screen, we should have pics on poster. Ethel will get poster board.

  • Green burial. New Hampshire Land Trust Coalition had a workshop on February 15, 2024 titled “Green Burial on Conservation Land -Digging into the Details.” Bridget registered to get materials.
  • Bridget reports that after meeting the organizer sent her email with links to the recorded discussion at meeting and links to all materials. Bridget asks everyone read these materials and think about idea of partnering with FLT for ANNEX land across street.
  • RE: whether green burial on Cem 3 is possibility, Bridget presents pic of green burial grave. Discussion on this and field trip to another cemetery with these type graves proposed with possible dates tbd.
  • Tech issues. Meg reports she has had no luck trying to get ahold of Stephen Arcone (whom we would like to contact as to helping us with GPR).
  • Maps issue. We need updated maps for all the Trustees and Meg notes we should prioritize. Ethel and Bridget will schedule work session.
  • Draft of minutes of meeting of February 6, 2024 submitted for approval. Motion: Ethel moves and Polly seconds motion to approve minutes. Motion passes unanimously.
New Business:
Polly suggests priority should be given to groundskeeping and cutting back lilac bushes. To be discussed.

Next meeting of Trustees: Monday, March 18. Map update session Wednesday, March 20.
Meeting adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
