Police Logs 01.02.2023 through 01.16.2023

  1. On 1/3 at 0844 hours responded to Route 47 under a mutual aid request by the Bennington Police Department for a motor vehicle collision in the area of the Sand and Gravel location, reporting a telephone police that struck, wires down and obstructing traffic. Upon arrival assisted in detouring traffic until 1027 and then cleared.
  2. On 1/3 at 1127 hours received a complaint of a civil dispute from a citizen from South New Boston road. The civil complaint involved work that was previously done by a contractor. Complainant was advised that the proper proceeding would be in civil court and not criminal. Cleared.
  3. On 1/3 at 1200 hours received notification of a “bullying” incident involving students attending Conval High school, through a school official and the mother of the fifteen-year-old victim who resides in Francestown. The investigation into these allegation(s) are continuing.
  4. On 1/6 at 1712 hours responded to the intersection of Greenfield and Udall road for a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles. Upon arrival the operators were identified as one Carlos Agudelo, age 60 of Francestown and a Meghan Rohde, age 42 of Milford New Hampshire. The investigation indicated that excessive speed was the contributing factor that resulted in this collision. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
  5. On 1/9 at 0916 hours medical emergency in the area of 2nd New Hampshire Turnpike (N) for an unknown patient who had fallen. Emergency services responded to assist.
  6. On 1/10 at 1200 received a complaint from a citizen that owns land in the area of Bennington road. The complaint involved unknown person(s) operating a vehicle in the area of private land which has a conservation easement. It was reported that a vehicle being operated on the land caused sever damage to the private property. There are no suspects at this time and the investigation is active.
  7. On 1/11 at 1839 hours responded to an alarm activation in the area of Main street. Upon arrival the location was found to be secure. Cleared.
  8. On 1/12 at 1226 hours received a complaint of a vehicle traveling on New Boston road heading towards New Boston passing vehicles at a high rate of speed. New Boston Police Department advised.
  9. On 1/12 at 1500 hours responded to the area of 2nd New Hampshire Turnpike(S), east of Avery road for a reported single vehicle motor vehicle collision without injuries. Upon arrival the operator was identified as one Markus Lyons-Cooksey, age 22 of Bennington New Hampshire.  Further investigation indicated that the vehicle, a 2014 Dodge pickup was traveling westbound when the operator lost control, traveling into the eastbound lane and came to final rest on the southern side of the roadway rolling over onto the passenger side. The operator was not injured. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The primary causation factor of the collision was determined to be excessive speed for the conditions of the roadway then and there existing.
  10. On 1/13 at 0930 hours this agency executed a search warrant in the area of East road relative to an on-going investigation pertaining to alleged animal abuse/neglect. The search warrant was executed with the assistance of the Monadnock Humane Society. Further investigation is on-going. Cleared.
  11. On 1/15 at 1436 hours received a report of a residential alarm activation in the area of Scoby road. Upon arrival, the residence was found secure. Owner notified. Cleared.
