8/10/2022 – 8/29/2022

  1. On 8/10 at 1825 hours received a request to check the welfare on a resident in the area of Pleasant Pond road. Responded to the location and contact was made with the person of concern. Cleared.
  2. On 8/11 at 1544 hours received a compliant of a suspicious vehicle/person in the area of 913 Greenfield road. Upon arrival the vehicle was located that was involved. Contact was made with the owner of the vehicle who was seated inside the vehicle. When confronted, the operator explained that he in the location because he was utilizing “wi-fi” and this was the only location he could obtain reception. All information was obtained, resident notified and cleared.
  3. On 8/12 at 1048 hours received a medical call for a eighty-five year old male experiencing difficulty breathing in the area of Champagne road. Upon arrival, assisted medical personnel and cleared.
  4. On 8/12 at 1313 hours received a request to assist Greenfield Police relative to a reported vehicle failing to stop and was headed into Greenfield from Bennington. A short time later the vehicle was located in a driveway in Bennington. Cleared.
  5. On 8/13 at 1031 hours received a report of a deer that was struck and was deceased in the area of 2nd New Hampshire Turnpike (south) by the cemetery, which was confirmed. No vehicle was on the scene. New Hampshire Fish and Game notified. 
  6. On 8/14 at 1014 hours responded to the area of Udall road for a reported brush fire. Upon arrival there was negative finding. Cleared.
  7. On 8/14 at 1157 hours a report was received of illegal dumping in the area of Todd road. Upon arrival and further investigation, it was determined that several bags of trash were discarded over an embankment. Further investigation of the evidence left at the scene led to a suspect who resides in Francestown and was later interviewed. The suspect was subsequently ordered to immediately remove the trash and was issued a summons for illegal dumping/littering. Case close
  8. On 8/14 at 1547 hours responded to the area of Bennington road for a reported juvenile who was suicidal attempting suicide. Upon arrival, with assistance from several surrounding law enforcement agencies the person of concern was taken into custody and subsequently transported to the Monadnock Hospital in Peterborough for further evaluation.
  9. On 8/16 at 0900 hours received a report of a suspicious vehicle and subjects within the vehicle, in the area of Candlewood Hill road which occurred on 8/15 at approximately 1800 hours. It was reported that the vehicle was on Candlewood Hill road and had stopped in front of the complainant’s residence, exited the vehicle and then checked the area where deliveries are made when packages area received. A New Hampshire registration plate number was obtained and a follow-up the investigation is continuing.
  10. On 8/16 at 0800 hours received a request by a citizen in the area of Greenfield road. The complainant reported she had lost her wallet containing her military dependents insurance card back in August of 2020. Reporting she was going to college, she now needed to report this lost document in order to have a duplicate issued so she could attend college. It was unknown where she lost her wallet, only that she had been in Peterborough and the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester back on the date it was lost. Report taken and party issued copy.
  11. On 8/18 at 1100 hours had received a report from a resident in the area of Russell Station road of a canine that was a nuisance and was continuing to bark for long periods of time. An attempt to contact the complainant was made several times with no response. Complaint unfounded.
  12. On 8/19 at 1757 hours received a request for assistance from the Greenfield Police Department to respond to the area of Francestown road for a motor collision. Upon arrival to the scene, assisted Greenfield Police and then cleared.
  13. On 8/20 at 1909 hours assisted the Deering Police Department with locating a subject who called 911 several times, was reported lost after taking a wrong turn and his vehicle was stuck. Further investigation indicated that the person calling was located on a class six road at end of Poor Farm road, not in Francestown but further north into Deering. The subject was finally located and transported out of the area and vehicle towed. Cleared.
  14. On 8/21 at 1000 received a parking complaint in the area of Pleasant pond road causing a concern the way it was parking along the edge of the roadway. Upon arrival, because the vehicle was parked partially in the travel portion of the roadway, contact with the owner was, a parking ticket was issued and the vehicle was removed. Cleared.
  15. On 8/24 at 0904 hours received a report of a residential alarm activation in the area of Pleasant Pond road. Under mutual aid, Greenfield Police Department responded to the location. Activation was homeowner error.
