Cemetery Trustee Minutes 06.12.2023 (Draft)

Bryan and Pam Delahanty have purchased lot in Cemetery 3. Check given to Town. Deed prepared and signed by Trustees and will be given to Select Board to be approved at meeting tonight (June 12, 2023).

We need new “keep of the grass signs”. Jamie, Town Administrator, volunteer to find supplier.

Peters family. Trustees, on May 22, 2023, executed deed to Annette Peters (right to inter) in following lots: North Section, Row N, Lots 11, 12, 13 and 14 (referred to below as “May 22, 2023 Deed”). Bridget reports today that at the Select Board meeting on May 22, 2023, she presented the May 22, 2023 Deed for their approval, per Commission usual protocol. Bridget reports she gave Mrs. Peters an original of the May 22, 2023 Deed and copies were made for Cemetery Commission and the Town. Mrs. Peters has since put the Commission on notice that she is not satisfied with the outcome of this matter. The town’s attorneys will be asked by Jamie Pike, Town Administrator, to respond to her.

Jamie Pike was asked by a citizen about problem with water spicket in Cemetery 3 (no water). He checked all spickets and they are working.

We are reviewing rules relating to artificial flowers. Bridget did not get time to draft new ones. She will bring language to next meeting and Meg and Janet have also volunteered to look for sample language.

Ongoing issue and proposal to change standard language in our form of deed to clarify it is a “right to inter.” Bridget did not get proposed
